The Bridge Group now meets in the LOUNGE at the West Bridgford Baptist Church.
In a series of twenty weekly sessions, Beginners will learn the game of bridge, assuming no prior knowledge of the game. We will start with rubber bridge, suitable for playing socially with friends and family, before moving on to the Improvers section to learn about duplicate pairs, which is the most popular competitive form of bridge played in bridge clubs.

Bridge does utilise a standard pack of 52 playing cards and is based on Whist. If you can play Whist then you can learn Bridge.
The picture is actually showing a game of Patience, which you certainly will need if you are to master the various bidding systems which are used to communicate with your partner.
Finding a partner and nurturing your bidding skills is one of the delights of Bridge, but initially you will be playing with a variety of people.
ACOL is the most universally known Bidding system and you will learn this initially.
